I have 2 kids attending Woodcrest and I must say that their teachers are nice, compassionate and very knowledgeable. The school is also nicer, upgraded compared to the la county school we came from.

The teaching is pretty good. There are many clubs and activities and it is easy to get involved, it all depends on the students if they want to get involved or not. The art or theatre side of the school is pretty cool, athletic is cool as well, and STEM or science-related field is pretty good. The bad thing is there are a lot of fights here. Some students vape in restrooms and restrooms smell like drugs but that applies to every high school. I would say the diversity is pretty okay, but homophobic transphobic does occur here, so if you are sensitive, feel targeted, or are offended by gender/sexuality-related stuff, the school is not for you. Staffs are very nice and friendly, some cafeteria ladies are mean though, some are very nice. There are AP classes offered, and many programs that prep for college. Traffic at this school is very bad though. School lunch is better than many other high schools I know. They have tried to add many veggies recently which is good. No bullying I have seen so far, I don't even think bullying is a thing anymore. ASB is still pretty bad though, they spend money on unneeded things. ASB is kinda useless but removing ASB from the school is not the best decision. ASB is trying hard but the output is kinda minimum.

This school is the best middle school you will find. All teachers are very kind and supportive of students. The principle and vice principle are so amazing. I look forward to going to school each day. The campus is always nice. There is hardly ever trash on the ground and so much effort is put into making the students have a great experience. Classes are easy to navigate. There is enough time to get to classes during the passing period. The band teacher is the most amazing teacher that ever has and will exist. She is so great. All homework is easy to complete and doesn't take much time. There are many different clubs that students can choose from. I have never seen anybody do drugs, fights, or bully someone. If you don't look for those things, you won't find them. The lunch at the school is so good and the cookies they sell are one of the best things I have ever spent my money on. It is really the best school you can find. I'm so grateful I have the opportunity to go to such a nice school and it is really the best place for your child to go.

It's unfortunate that the school rating isn't higher. I have been attending RVS since the beginning of middle school, and will now be graduating in 2017. This program has provided me with new and different opportunities to expand my knowledge. All of my teachers put in effort to aid me in achieving my educational and personal goals. With the help of AVID, I have build new skills and got accepted to my #1 choice university. I'm proud to be a student at RVS.

As a student that is in 7th, I have a lot to say. The school can be a little intimidating once you are new, but if you are friendly and talk to people you find nice, you will feel more confident there. However, there are a few issues of drama since there are a few bullies that occasionally harass you, but if you find a way to make peace and chill a little, they can be pretty nice and smart. The staff is nice and the teachers are very kind and will help you with anything. I have been going here since 5th and overall, everyone can be nice if you can stay on their good side.
