6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGifted Magnet Program Great school , love all of child’s teachers . They have teaching long term at this school and are very dedicated. Love they have sports and and excellent music program. My only complaint about this school is the occurrence of fights during breaks/ lunch .My child had never seen a physical altercation until she started attending Palms. She has now grown accustomed to the daily altercations. The staff try their best to prevent / minimize the fights but some of these kids just don’t care. Many children are also from out of the area and are bused here . There seems to be so much going on . Overall I love the curriculum, teachers, and gifted program. But if they could do away with the excessive fights it would be perfectParent Review3mo ago - Venice Senior High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVHS campus is beautiful and the new science, gym, arts building are first class. Students are diverse and seem to get along quite well. Lots of AP classes and programs for students with different interests. And the sports program is amazing…XC, basketball, tennis, football, soccer, baseball. And so many kids are getting into UCLA, Berkeley, UCSD, NYU, etc. VHS is morphing into a powerhouse public school. Best kept secret on the Westside.Parent Review5mo ago - Clover Avenue Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved here due to relocation for to complete my education for UCLA. I was skeptical about LA school district being new to the area. But I was beyond impressed and felt so the welcome at Clover .My daughter was doing state testing at average of 2/3 .Within just one year at clover her state average increase to 4/5. She ended up going into the gifted magnet program we did through LAUSD Choices, at Palms middle school . The transition was smooth and my kiddo knew plenty of Clover kids from at the start of 6th grade .The best of Clover is their cultural night and the kids get to showcase their culture as well as learn and experience cultures from their fellow classmates.Mrs. Kaufman is awesome . Incredibly gifted and passionate about teaching . At Clover most of the teachers have been there for long and embrace their careers. They demonstrate it through the care they provide the students and how effective their teaching methods are .Lastly , the STAR (after school program) is amazing ! My kiddo didn’t want to even come home sometimes because she wanted to stay at the program with her pals. They have great interactive and fun filled learning activities all the time. Overall the kids at Clover are kind and sweet .Very embracing of one another and a tight knit group .Parent Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 11010 Rose Ave #109.
