What Locals Say about Laguna Beach

  • Sabrina Skelly
"Good family neighborhood, nice area, low crime. No sidewalks, so street infrastructure can be unsafe. Parks are driving distance, not many parks in walking distance. PCH and bad drivers are a larger risk. "

"The Laguna beach dog park is the best in the county! 3 acres. Gorgeous maintained. Very dog friendly community. Beaches are dog friendly during off season."

"I think it’s important that parents take their kids to the parks in the neighborhood and Laguna for their kids to play with each other. The baseball team through Laguna Beach and school activities are incredible. I see a lot of the high school kids and my grandson as well surfing down at Thalia Street"

"We have block parties a few times a year. We watch out for strangers and know who our neighbors are. Word gets around and many are members of Next Door so if lost pets are found or any suspect incidents we all are aware."

"I live in Rancho Laguna neighborhood and it is totally different from the village. It is where we join the world of nature and the ocean Surrounding it. We also have much better parking and a designated trolley to bring us into the village. One day you see a family of coyotes raising their young and the next you see deer frolicking in the meadow. It is the secret sanctuary of Orange County. "

"Laguna Canyon gets backed up from 5-7pm... also some traffic in the morning. Summers and spring break are also very busy times in Laguna Beach with tourists and more traffic. "

"Dogs are welcomed...but as a responsible dog owner, I pick up after several other dogs on my street. It’s unfortunate because it makes everyone (me) look bad"

"Our neighborhood has Moulton Meadows Park where children play soccer and neighbors play tennis and basketball. Lots of dog walking going on! Our block closes down one Sunday in the summer for a block party where we meet our neighbors and have pot luck. Halloween we go down to Oak Street to see and be seen in costumes."
