7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter started Peters in 2019. The teachers, office staff, and principles on both the k-3 and 4-6 sides have been fantastic with communication and easy to reach. We have been very impressed with the quality and level of the curriculum she has been given. We were disappointed that her last school sent out randomly ripped out pages of a workbook as homework but at Peters, the homework is thoughtfully put together and is challenging in a fun way. The accelerated reader program and party for those who reach their reading goals are also very impressive and have given these kids a real love of reading that definitely sets them apart from other elementary schools. The teachers genuinely seem to care for the students and volunteer a lot of their time for extracurricular activities, e.g book clubs, trunk or treat, etc. especially during distance learning. The city of Garden Grove and GGUSD also does a fantastic job of promoting and celebrating academic achievement in the community. It's great to see the city banners that highlight which colleges the graduating students are going to and which elementary school they are from. The kids in the school are all very nice and we haven't had any knowledge of bullying or drama between the students. My daughter's only complaint was the lack of play equipment and no science fair (yet).Parent Review2y ago - Garden Grove High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to Garden Grove High School, and she had a great experience. Even though Math was not her favorite subject and struggled with it throughout high school, she was always encouraged to do better by her teachers and was reminded that help was always there. The counselors were awesome and so was the principal and faculty. My daughter graduated in 2017 and her class was one of the schools largest graduating classes they have had. Some of the classmates got accepted to Yale, Standford, other great Universities. One thing I really appreciated was the calls from the office whenever my daughter was absent, I know she was not at school but glad to know they also were keeping tabs on their students.Parent Review1mo ago - Dr. Walter C. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school environment, parental participation, and the staff are exceptional. I have had nothing but high hopes for this school, and so far has exceeded my expectation. Cannot wait to see the statistics for the first graduating 6th grade class.Parent Review6y ago - Check out schools near 11462 Garden Grove Blvd.
