The Band program and the arts programs are nothing like they used to be. The other thing that you cannot get away from, is this location. Watt Ave is the worst maintained ave in all of Sacramento. The school has proven to be an exceptional learning environment, thanks to the dedication and expertise of the Principal and staff.I would like to specifically commend two teachers who have made a significant impact on my daughter's education. Mrs. Andrews, the 4th grade teacher, has consistently demonstrated her passion for teaching and her ability to create a supportive and engaging classroom environment. Her commitment to her students' growth and learning is truly commendable.Additionally, I would highly recommend Mr. Corcoran, the 6th grade teacher, who has shown a remarkable ability to connect with his students and inspire them to reach their full potential. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNo communication from this school's admin team. The principal Ms. Wilson only cares about a select few children's wellbeing. She will not communicate with you when incidents happen regarding your child even after "investigations" are completed. Vice principals will claim they can't do anything without her approval and spew lies. Some teachers here treat these teens like they are scum, throwing assignments or tests on the floor for them to pick up, throwing away tests as they are turned in, and sharing the score with the whole room. Telling them they are a waste and to just stop trying. How can you be an educator and talk to these kids that way? The disrespect and disregard that this is a person is sick. "If you are near MSJ Hospital it is a nice area. There are dirty, lower grade parts up near El Camino Ave on Fair Oaks. After that it is nice again all along California Ave. Big Houses. River Spots. Lots of options for schools and stores. :)"

"There are parks nearby, many with a bathroom of some sort. The schools here are good. There is quick access to grocery stores for the milk you ran out of or something else you need right away. Big club stores aren’t far off either."

"my neighbors are respectful and friendly. grocery stores are reachable and I can walk to the shops. I can walk my dog to the neighborhood and the walkways have enough light. only the road are old and most parts needed to be repair. over all I like this area because of security and closeness to the grocery stores.
