4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my sons go to Centennial and it has been a great experience. Prior to going there, I had heard so much gossip about how terrible Centennial is. We decided to try it. I'm glad we did. My sons are doing great. They are in GATE classes and thriving. They love their teachers. I find the teachers really care about the students, taking time to build relationships. There are a lot of fun assignments, like making cardboard arcade games in STEM- there is a day where they take the games next door to the elementary school and let the kids play them. There are a lot of fun clubs and extracurricular activities. I have heard there were issues in the past, but I think the staff has worked hard to eradicate these issues and improve the school environment. We have only had one minor issue there and it was handled quickly and appropriately. I filled out the question about special education because I was required to to post my review, but I don't have children who receive those services, so I can't say for sure. The students have a lot of work during the week, and the teachers know how to maintain their attention and discipline. The curriculum is excellent, and I see my son, who is in second grade, learning happily and consistently. In the classrooms, there is respect, cordiality, and a learning environment. The homework is well thought out, challenging the children without overwhelming them.
