I built this home for my parents 38 years ago, when I was a general contractor. Mom carried her love of south western architecture north to Alaska, but instead of using Adobe for walls and terracotta tile for roofing, we used low maintenance materials suited for the colder climate. The walls are stucco and the roofing is terracotta red sculpted metal. The entire envelope is super insulated with new top notch Anderson windows.

The rooms are large. The three bedrooms are each 16 x 16. The huge master bathroom, recently remodeled, has a curb-less shower made from granite, tile and stone.

The floors in the kitchen living room and hallways are are real hardwood and ceramic tile, bedrooms carpet.

This is truly an Alaskan home: Besides having a good size attached two car garage, there is also a 32 x 36 shop, for more indoor heated parking and projects. There is so a 40 foot roof for motorhome parking.

Dad's love for the game of golf, shows in the yard, expansively displayed between the house and quiet cul-de-sac below. A blacktop driveway completes the look. I plan on including the riding lawn mower and various other yard machines with the home sale.
