"Depends on your dog. There are many other dogs, lots of children, and this is somewhat noisy/busy neighborhood because of 22nd and Roosevelt. There is plenty of side streets to walk on, close to a couple parks, and forested fields. (Lincoln Park being the largest nearby park.)"

"No clue. The ability to walk your dog and not be afraid of being attacked. It’s pretty quiet and not a lot of noise. Parking is is hard since there is a baseball field next to house. "

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. Joseph Catholic Academy in Kenosha, Wisconsin is a remarkable school. My son has flourished in the academic and spiritual environment it provides. The teachers are phenomenal. They ensure students are developing their skills to their full potential. Technology in the classroom is continuously updated and students do most of their class work in the laptops provided by them. Students are learning and using the skills they will need in the future whenever they need it in the workforce or in college. St. Joseph Catholic Academy is the best investment a parent can provide for their child(ren). The school receives all the stars for rating. I seem to be having trouble clicking on them.Parent Review10y ago - Kenosha Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter started as a kindergartner and is now in first grade. We also just started our preschooler. My girls love school and are excited to learn; they are curious and independent. The children are guided through work, most of which they think are games. The children work at their own pace and to some extent within their interests; the Directresses guide them to make sure they are understanding and developmentally ready for a topic or lesson and ensure they are completing foundational work before building on. They are also learning non-academics such as cleaning up their messes, putting their work/toys away, and folding laundry all of which have impacted their behavior at home. They are being taught respect, integrity and caring for each other both within their peers and with the adults they work with. I know they are loved and cared for throughout the day. The extended day program provides a convenient way for my husband and I to pick them up late several days a week based on our work schedules. My first grader knows EVERY state in the US and country in North America, South America, Australia and Africa. She is working on Asia and Europe currently. She is already reading and comprehending at a 4th- 5th grade level and doing higher math skills than I ever would expect. Yet she is in a classroom with her peers for social development. My preschooler is loving sorting activities, building and magnet stations and learning about the seasons. We had a family health event causing stress at home this year. The staff and Directresses have been AMAZING at supporting our daughters (and us), helping guide us in talking to the kids and ensuring they are getting what they need. The family community has been amazing. Despite Covid impacting our ability to get to know families as well this year, several have stepped up to supply meals and help in our time of need. I cannot speak more highly of a school. We transferred from a private catholic school, but we have seen more educational growth, community love and support from KMS.Parent Review3y ago - Kenosha Montessori School
