So far, so good, as a parent of a new kindergartner - and as a parent who follows local and school-wide events and news. We have had nothing but quick, courteous communication in response to concerns.Those with general concerns should seriously consider attending the PTO (CH BEST) meetings. They seem to be sparsely attended (other than by the PTO board/members and the principal/staff), so it is easier to have an impact and be heard than if dozens of parents showed up.

We are just finishing up our first year of Kindergarten at Eastside and we are extremely happy so far. Parents, children, teachers and administrators all seem genuinely interested in the success of the school.

I have helped in the classroom in the 2024 school year. The teachers really care and I am very pleased with the staff.I do wish the teachers still sent home books each week, at each child’s level, especially in grades K - 3. Most parents need this support.

If I could give this school a negative I would. My son started kindergarten here and he was bullied the first week of school. The teacher has lied about events and not informed us when my son was sent to the nurse due to another child hitting him. This had happened 3 times and all 3 times the principal just brushed it off and gave no urgency to any of the 3 situations. My son is the sweetest little guy amd tries to be friends with everyone. I hate to see kids and even the adults there take advantage of that.

Outstanding school!! Our child has made tremendous gains academically and behaviorally since starting last year.
