What Locals Say about Cottage Grove

  • Migueleroman
"I work in Illinois and travel 90% of the year, so for me it’s pretty long, but to Milwaukee it’s only about an 1:00-1:30"
  • P. Duffy
"Cottage Grove has nice mid-upper mid class families but is seriously lacking in business and things for the family or kids to do as they grow. No library-though a committee has been working on it for 10+ years.. no skate park... no pool.. but there is a rugby field. Besides a neighborhood park, there is no common/safe place for tweens/teens to socialize together publicly. It should be noted that CG is a quiet, low crime, safe community. Police do a great job and I still feel very comfortable leaving my car running at the gas station in winter!"
  • Janean B.
"Safe, friendly community with all the basics such as a grocery store, restaurants, retail shops and pharmacy. Easy access to Hwy 94."
  • Zong H.
"Safe quiet place to raise a family. Great schools close by. Unique home styles (not cookie cutter). "
  • momabearmt
"Cottage Grove is a quiet and safe community with a great school district. We have been here 14 years and have had no issues. We love being just far enough out of town to enjoy a more country setting yet close enough to be there in minutes. "
