"Quiet neighbors, friendly people, close enough to restaurants and grocery stores, but not overwhelmed to many of them."

"Lived in the area for over a decade. Ease of commute, convienently located, parks & recreations, and great schools. This home is located in a unique acreage private neighborhood, yet still close to downtown Redmond, Kirkland, or Woodinville."

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI agree with previous reviewer. This school has very large classes, chaos and many students who are very disruptive. The environment is generally stressful and there's teasing happening. If you can buy house near Horace Mann or Clara barton, those are districted to only include children who come from well-managed families and has high quality ptsa. After Redmond Elementary, Einstein is considered second worst elementary here. The principal, Robin Imai, is half checked out and does not exhibit good leadership nor an interest to improve anything. There will be lots of academic fall out and you will be playing catch-up at learning centers at school.Parent Review9mo ago22 Reviews - Clara Barton Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had two children go K-5 at Clara Barton Elementary, and have had an overall positive experience. The PTSA is super active and organizes monthly social events for students to attend. Ice Cream socials, movie nights, student marketplaces, fall festivals, extra art lessons and more. Like any school, some teachers go above and beyond more than others, but overall teachers are engaged and passionate about what they do. Academically, there are always opportunities for more support or conversely extra work but parents do need to request that. They work hard at building their Clara Barton "bobcat" community.Parent Review6mo ago14 Reviews - Willows Preparatory School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at Willows Preparatory School has been significantly different from the supportive environment I anticipated. While the school operates under the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, the current execution of this curriculum appears to prioritize a high volume of assignments over genuine intellectual growth and student well-being.Academic Workload and Pedagogical Approach: The workload is currently unsustainable, often requiring students to begin their studies as early as 4:00 AM to remain current. There is a concerning lack of synergy between classroom instruction and independent projects; the "ruthless" pace often prevents students from engaging in deep learning or getting ahead in their subjects. For high-achieving students who struggle with perfectionism, the environment is particularly taxing. Unfortunately, rather than receiving constructive support, students are frequently critiqued for "poor time management," even when they are dedicating maximum effort to their tasks.Inclusivity and Executive Function Support: The school’s approach to learning differences and executive functioning is a major area of concern. Support services—specifically those addressing ADHD-like symptoms or executive dysfunction—appear to be gated behind formal, expensive diagnoses and high additional fees (upwards of $2,000 per quarter).A truly inclusive educational institution should provide accommodations and support based on a student’s demonstrated need and desire to succeed, rather than financial standing or medical paperwork. Students who are clearly striving for excellence but struggling with deadlines deserve mentorship and scaffolding, not belittlement.Social Climate and Mental Health: The social atmosphere at the school often feels immature and unnecessarily adversarial, which has a detrimental impact on student mental health. The combination of social friction and academic exhaustion has led to significant emotional distress. It is vital for the administration to realize that private school students, like all students, require a balanced life to remain healthy and motivated. Conclusion: Willows Preparatory School has the potential to be an elite institution, but it currently lacks the empathy and infrastructure required to support the "whole student." I hope this feedback serves as a catalyst for the school to lower the barriers to student support and foster a culture that values effort and mental health as much as academic output.Student Review4mo ago10 Reviews
