"Lots of dogs in Olympia/Lacey! Lots of people being walked and dogs getting out and about. Sidewalks and parks and other dog lovers abound!"

"Walking distance to children’s museum, farmers market, and incredible ice cream. Also in walking distance to unhorsed campsites, industrial sites, and water treatment plants. 🤷‍♂️"

"It's typically not terribly difficult to commute unless there is a special event in town-then good luck coming or going."

"neighbors keep to them selves. packages get stolen and you have to watch for homeless people but I've lived here for 4 years and u get used to it "

"My neighborhood has the capital campus right across the street, which is great for dog running, working out, walks, etc. I am also on the bus line with walking distance to the downtown district."
  • Trulia User
"There are many street people and the bars are loud. It doesn’t feel very clean or safe. There is also quite a bite of vandalism and graffiti and the police do not even come out for that. I love my apartment and the view, but it is not easy to live downtown."
  • Jake
"There is a lot of homeless doing what they do. You will find the occasional pile of human excrement and needles. Just be careful."

"many dogs walk capitol lake. it's wonderful. it's about a mile or so and all breads go with their owner. it's a good time. the kids love it. "
