8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMany of the teachers are great. The principal lacks leadership skills and appears to be phoning it in. Her main trick is smiling a lot while nodding her head while repeating jargon. We're wishing for a new principal who is inspired, intelligent and creative.Parent Review12y ago3 Reviews - Sustainability Academy At Lawrence Barnes

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageProbably an okay school if your child doesn't have a disability and/or isn't gifted. In my family's experience, the school does not support my child with a physical disability and does not challenge them or acknowledge their other gifted areas. If your child has a disability, know that you may need to fight the school at every step of the way. I would recommend not trusting that they are providing support and doing regular check ins with the teacher/school.No parking, let alone for a child and/or parent with a disability (one parallel "handicap" parking space without access to get a chair out, and that a staff member parks in). Had to carry my child down the street to get to and from school too many times. The one bright spot at this school is one of the Kindergarten teachers (Mrs. Blair) who is a gem.Other Review4y ago1 Reviews - Edmunds Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m a current 9th grader at Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington, Vermont. I went to MCS from 5th through 8th grade, so I spent a total of four years there. Overall, it’s a great place with genuinely good teachers. There were a few I didn’t necessarily like, but that’s just personal preference. The school has a really welcoming community, and most people are super chill.Classes were medium in difficulty, definitely challenging sometimes, but I felt pretty prepared for high school afterward (even if I forgot everything over the summer...). MCS was great, but the only thing I'll miss are two friends that I probably won't ever see again, yet MCS was definitely a big part of shaping who I am today. I think it's because high school is absolutely crazy compared to middle school... (and I don't know if that's good or bad)The classrooms are tidy, and most teachers really care about what they’re doing. There are also occasional field trips, which were always fun (whether it was out of state or just somewhere local). Academically, MCS helped me grow a lot, and it really did feel like a safe place!! And if you're wondering about clubs, athletics, or academics, you can find all that and more on the MCS Website (mcschool.org)My advice: If you ever need help, talk to the teachers — they’re really there for you. Even if it feels scary, they’re willing to help as long as you reach out. There were many times when I felt isolated but was too afraid to ask for help, and I wish I hadn’t been. Please don’t be afraid to speak up. You’re not alone. And also… just be yourself. People aren’t as judgmental as you (and I) think they are. ;)8.8/10 — would recommend this school. Really solid overall. If you consider attending this school, make the most of it! My middle school years felt pretty wasted and there's a lot I wish I could've done, but once it's gone, it's gone. Thanks for reading!! Have a great day or night !!!! :)Other Review5mo ago28 Reviews - Christ The King School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wish our three kids could spend their entire school career inside CKS. From top to bottom there is not one single thing I would change about CKS. My family has lived in 5 different states and this school is by far the VERY BEST!Parent Review7y ago4 Reviews
