Ettrick Elementary School is such a blessing to our student and the entire community. Every staff member has a heart of gold with true compassion for the children in their care and the families they represent. The beautiful new building has a great design and was well thought out. Teachers at Ettrick are well equipped to meet the unique needs of every child and are models for the best classroom practices in Chesterfield County, VA. My son is receiving a 5-star education, social-emotional learning, pre-engineering STEAM lessons, as well as Music, Art, PE, and Library resources. He enjoys spending recess on any of the 3 new spectacular playgrounds or fenced in blacktop! We love our Ettrick family and are so thankful for everything this school continues to provide my son!!

Lakeview is a great school with an amazing staff. The teachers and administrators show a deep care and compassion for each student. We could not ask for better staff to teach our child.

This school was the best elementary schools I had ever been too the old principal was so nice and friendly he would often play around and cheer up the kids, they have the best teachers ever I had amazing grades in that school, they would actually help you if you needed it,

Our military family, having moved to Virginia in summer 2022, was blessed to have found a supportive and educational community with SJS, marking our first engagement with Catholic traditions. SJS has been incredibly positive, offering both a welcoming environment and a strong academic foundation for our daughter. The school has been instrumental in our daughter's achievements throughout 4th and 5th grade, including maintaining honors and developing new skills such as playing the ukulele and piano, as well as engaging in innovative art projects. She has been able to improve her physical fitness and sociability by participating in the run club and spirit team. Staff and faculty have considerately made themselves available to problem solve any concerns or dilemmas. Transitioning to a new place can be challenging, especially for military families, so finding a school that provides such care and enrichment is truly valuable. As we prepare for another relocation with the military, we are deeply grateful for the positive influence SJS has had on our daughter’s academic career. We pray our next location offers similar opportunities that SJS has that have contributed to our daughter’s personal growth.
