Archer Bluff

Lakeview is a great school with an amazing staff. The teachers and administrators show a deep care and compassion for each student. We could not ask for better staff to teach our child.

This school was the best elementary schools I had ever been too the old principal was so nice and friendly he would often play around and cheer up the kids, they have the best teachers ever I had amazing grades in that school, they would actually help you if you needed it,

My family moved to colonial Heights one year ago from Chester va. The difference in my children's excitement to go to school and come home to tell me everything they have learned that day is a night and day difference. They love it. The school has so many family involved events, supportive staff, and teacher communication with the parents has been great so far. Small class sizes really make a child feel more seen as well.

Our military family, having moved to Virginia in summer 2022, was blessed to have found a supportive and educational community with SJS, marking our first engagement with Catholic traditions. SJS has been incredibly positive, offering both a welcoming environment and a strong academic foundation for our daughter. The school has been instrumental in our daughter's achievements throughout 4th and 5th grade, including maintaining honors and developing new skills such as playing the ukulele and piano, as well as engaging in innovative art projects. She has been able to improve her physical fitness and sociability by participating in the run club and spirit team. Staff and faculty have considerately made themselves available to problem solve any concerns or dilemmas. Transitioning to a new place can be challenging, especially for military families, so finding a school that provides such care and enrichment is truly valuable. As we prepare for another relocation with the military, we are deeply grateful for the positive influence SJS has had on our daughter’s academic career. We pray our next location offers similar opportunities that SJS has that have contributed to our daughter’s personal growth.
