My kids used to enjoy this school until Stowe became the principal. Stowe has demonstrated an unhealthy amount of micromanagement surrounding pickup and dropoff protocols, discrimination about kicking off middle school kids from the playground when they're waiting to pick up their younger siblings while allowing adults to loiter, not allowing parents to sit in designated seating if it's an empty spot that is a "better spot" than the people who have set up their chairs elsewhere, and it's unnerving how often she is visiting classrooms. The principals I'm used to engaging with will work behind the scenes handling the administrative work, manage employees to do the grunt work, work with government programs and district leaders to better the kids' experience, come up with assembly ideas, improve mental wellness through programs and awareness, etc... Stowe seems to be content doing the work of her underlings in a way that -she- wants everything handled. You can tell the office workers stiffen up and look nervous when she is around. It is not the same feeling that Bastian has had in the past of a welcoming and inclusive environment. Now it feels more like a prison.

We love Advantage Arts Academy! All of the teachers love and care about each child and focus on teaching all of the child's needs, not just core classes, but also emotional skills, social skills, problem solving in real life situations, life skills.
