I cannot recommend this school more. Both my kids have attended Little Miners for three years. As an educator I can tell you the teachers are first-rate, the owner is committed to the kids' happiness, safety, and success, and the curriculum is the most impressive I've seen. The lessons helps kids reach academic excellence in self-directed ways while emphasizing compassion and the environment. I wish my kids could go there forever!

We loooove this school for so many reasons....let me count the ways.1. It's Montessori based. This teaching method has been great for our kids. 2. The teachers are incredible and very experienced. This school boasts one of the lowest teacher to student ratios in the park city area. 3. They teach horseback riding! Amazing! Once a week in the off skiing season, they learn to ride a horse (western style) with a dedicated riding instructor. I'm just jealous I can't join them!4. They teach skiing! They do a 2:1 student to teacher ratio on Fridays when the slopes are open to teach the kids. The kids get fitted for their own set of boots and skis which they are able to use all winter.5. They message and the vibe of this school is all about connections to yourself, to others, and to nature. The leader of the school sings a song about unity in the beginning of each class. I've stayed around to watch the song a couple times and have been blown away by the attention and respect the kids give her. 6. They play...a lot and go on some great field trips. This is great! We always wanted a play based school and we found it. 7. They are learning Spanish. Language is very important to us. One of the teachers is fluent in Spanish so they teach it to the kids. 8. It's small. You get to know all the kids and teachers and everyone is very welcoming. I recommend this school to anyone who wants to belong to a wonderful little community.10. They hike! They have a specific teacher who takes the older kids 5 and up, on extensive hikes to explore nature and be outside. Be still my nature loving heart! So that's it in a nut shell. It's a small cozy school with a ton of heart and loving teachers. Having my kids join this school was one of the highlights of moving to Park City.
