amazing school best school ever, went here for 8 years and i will never look back and think bad.

Our experience at Northampton during the 2023–2024 school year was unfortunately very disappointing. My daughter, who was in 1st grade, had a teacher who consistently treated her poorly and made her feel disliked. There were multiple incidents that raised red flags, but at the time, I second-guessed myself and chose not to speak up.My son, who was in Pre-K, also had a rough experience. Just two weeks into the school year, he was abruptly moved from one teacher to another, and we saw a noticeable change in his behavior and attitude after the switch.Now that we've moved to a new school for 2024–2025 and have seen how supportive and nurturing a school environment should be, I realize I wasn’t wrong in my concerns about Northampton. I wish I had trusted my instincts and been more vocal back then.This experience taught me to be much more observant and involved in my children's school life. Our kids spend so much time in these environments, and no child should feel unwelcome or mistreated by their teacher.We’re now at a school where the staff truly cares, and my kids are genuinely happy, a night-and-day difference. I hope this review helps other parents feel empowered to trust their gut and advocate for their children.

Cool school,nice teachers overall, most students are kind.

I would not recommend this school to any family. What looks like a structured, values-based environment is actually rigid, overly punitive, and lacking basic compassion. There is a consistent pattern of mean and disrespectful behavior from teachers, many of whom look miserable to be at work—and that energy shows in how students are treated. Kids are corrected publicly, minor issues are blown out of proportion, and instead of feeling supported, many leave feeling discouraged. I’ve also had serious concerns about how certain situations involving student treatment have been handled, which raises questions about professionalism and student well-being. Concerns brought to administration are often dismissed, rules are applied inconsistently, and at this point the school needs to clean house and start asking the most important question: how do the students actually feel? Parents considering this school should also ask their own children honest questions about their daily experience there. There are far better options out there where children are truly respected and encouraged to grow.
