"Willow bend in Plano is the BEST. Best location to everything (Whole Foods, Home Depot, Costco, mall and 100s of restaurants) and super friendly people. "

"The schools are excellent, especially Shepton HS and Plano West SH, but more importantly, the kids that go to these schools are from caring and affluent families and are expected to achieve and go on to college. This is so important as kids influence eachother, good or bad, and you want their associations to be with kids that are serious about their education and future. Coming from Carrollton, there was a big difference in the quality of education in these schools and also the caliber of kids attending them. There was never a worry about thugs running loose in these schools, whereas in Carrollton there definitely was. I witnessed a fight breaking out in the crosswalk after school at Newman Smith HS (Carrollton) and out came the switchblades!! And that is supposed to be the safer school in that area, RL Turner is even worse. I decided then and there to move and our kids and I have been so happy we did. So especially if you have school-aged children, I would highly recommend the West Plano area, and in particular Willow Bend Neighborhood! It's simply the best!!"
