Sippel is a fantastic elementary school with a warm and welcoming environment. The teachers are dedicated, patient, and truly care about each student’s success. The staff fosters a positive learning atmosphere where kids feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow academically and socially. The school also offers great extracurricular activities and a strong sense of community. Highly recommended for any family looking for a well-rounded and nurturing education! My family just hit 1 year back in Texas and this school has made the transition so pleasant, It’s in a great safe community that makes you feel so welcomed.

Over the course of our time at SST Schertz, we experienced an unacceptable lack of communication, disorganized club payments/instructions for club dates and pick up times, extremely rude staff (yelling at parents trying to get their kids dropped off in the morning is beyond egregious), and a delayed communication about 504 plans. As well, the following situation has pushed us to withdrawal our son. I am sharing this here in hopes it will help other parents who want to protect their children. On Friday, August 28th my son did not receive a lunch at school. He informed me when he got in the car at the pickup line. He said one of the teachers were supposed to call home to discuss what happened, that call never came. I reached out to his teacher to see what happened, and when she responded Monday August 31th, she informed me that Tuesday September 1st was her last day due to internal issues at SST Schertz Phase II which pushed her to leave. There had been NO message sent to ANY of the parents informing us that our children’s teacher would be leaving (the next day). Mind you, we are only 3 weeks into school. At this point, I contacted the school to try to discuss the Friday no lunch incident with an admin. Evidently, every single admin was unavailable. Wow, shocking! I was promised a call back - that call never came. I showed up to the school that afternoon to request a withdrawal from the school. I was given a hand written note with contact information for the registrar or admin who is said to handle the withdrawal process. After reaching out to the contact the school provided and not receiving an answer, I went to the school in person ( then finding out the contact information given to me the previous day was for someone who handles testing and clubs, and has nothing to do with withdrawals/is not an admin). They tried to get us to stay. This is not surprising - I’m sure they have had countless withdrawals over the last few weeks considering the issues us and other parents/teachers are experiencing. These issues are abundant - I hope they do better for the kids, the staff, and for the parents moving forwards. This situation has been beyond neglectful and extremely disheartening.
