"There are lots and lots of dogs in our neighborhood. Dog walkers are out around the neighborhood most of the day, but it really picks up in the late afternoon and early evening. Most yards here are small, so daily walks are important."

"There is a bus to downtown that gets there pretty fast, but it only comes once an hour. The bike path connects you to a lot of places safely and easily. Still would be hard to live here without a car."

"Great for families, dog friendly, very safe. A good amount of bars and restaurants in walking distance, but they’re not open super late, so they won’t wake you up at all hours of the night. "

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would rate my experience as very poor. The teachers are unprofessional and do not even know their own protocols. They provide zero feedback on your child's progress. The principal is missing in action but will take credit for the work of the few teachers that actually care and do their job,Parent Review5y ago8 Reviews - Harvard Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe sense of community among students is great. And I really love that. I knock it down a star just because I feel teachers could be more engaged with parents on a one-on-one level to really hone in on how to make our kids flourish. I do understand that teachers are spread very thin, but I do feel like more attention to each student by means of the parents would help so much more. But it takes actually meeting with parents. We had a zoom session that was 15 minutes… and it seemed so forced for the teacher. No desire to connect with me, the parent. Again, this is my only gripe and teacher is still great to my little. All in all, it’s a wonderful school and I hope to keep my child here!Parent Review3y ago28 Reviews - Helms Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't like Helms elementary school, my child went there for one school year. All they do is speak Spanish. It's supposed to be dual language. They mostly speak Spanish, my child is black, she never wanted to go to school. She said the kids didn't play with her. What really upset me was, they never did any Black History programs, but they did everything the Hispanic people celebrated. I have nothing against Hispanic people or their heritage. They just need to include other races heritage too. Please speak English and Spanish, this is America and English I out language. It's okay to do both equally. To any parents out there, who wants to send your kids here. PLEASE DON'T!!!....Parent Review3mo ago12 Reviews - Love Elementary School
