School policies are concerning. If there is a necessity or emergency it is not allowed to talk to your child on the phone. My child complained that when thete were some issues she was not allowed to call me as well. So under no circumstances you are allowed to talk to your child! Also last two years there has been extremely too much screen time. Most what they teach and learn in school is on screen. As a parent I do not have access to any kind of materials and in moments where my child needs help, explaining and support I do not know what exactly they are teaching them. One word in the newsletter is all the parents get.

This Elementary school is excellent. The teachers are caring, the environment is safe, and students learn important basic skills while also having fun. It’s a great place for children to grow, learn, and build confidence.

Very sweet teachers and staff. It was fun. Yearbooks were favorite. People behave in interesting ways. Nobody cares, so you need to be aware of whats going on. People would judge you for the environment is judging you. The principal was very open and kind.

Spears Elementary is truly a school where staff care for the students as their own. As a parent that had two kids go through Spears I was able to experience many teachers and staff through the years; old and new administration. Anytime my kids had a problem I would talk to them about it and get both sides; staff was always responsive and caring about bullying and handled things discreetly for all parties involved. As a parent we often don't know all of the things that happen to make a school run successfully, but I can say I trust every person in that building to care for my kids. I encourage you to ask questions and make a decision that is best for your child, not just base your decision on reviews.
