"There is some bus routes available however having a car is more convenient. Walkable areas and stores and restaurants nearby"

"My commute is typically easy. There is little traffic except during the rush hours and weekends of course. There is easy access to grocery stores and shopping centers, gas stations, food stops (fast food and restaurants), parks, schools, banks, etc. A lot of military families live in my area. "

"Getting anywhere I want to go is easy and plenty of stores very close. I’m in the middle of everything and Ft.Bliss is 5 minutes away. We are also close to a Fire Station and Police station in case of emergency. "

"I live on the military base. I love it. I don’t love El Paso per say. If I had to live off post I would live on the west side, but it cost more and it’s a lot further for work. The northeast, and the Far East are good places to live. "

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids have been at Travis for 4.5 years, the principal we have now came in 4 years ago. She is GREAT! it is a very military friendly school. My kids have been thru 2 deployment while attending and the school has been very supportive. I even had to tell the kids of a death in the family at school & they were there for us. We have a new PTA, as there wasn't one for several years & they have done an outstanding job. We have a military family liason that takes special time with our "Army Brats". The school is in a low income neighborhood, & due to that there is a disparity in some areas, but Overall its a great school & I recommend it.Parent Review10y ago9 Reviews - Clendenin Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePosted June 04, 2015 - a community member I wanted to like this school but am very disappointed. We moved here from another state where my child attended another Catholic school an were not pleased with our experience here. There is a serious lack of communication at OLA. My concerns and e-mails about my child's progress were ignored and never responded to by the teacher. Requests for a meeting were also ignored. I asked to volunteer but was never contacted after putting my name on the list. Despite the classroom having just 12 student's the teacher often seemed overwhelmed by her class and nonchalant at the same time. My child's grades went from all A's and B's to C's, D's, and F's in just one semester at this school. We will not return and do not recommend this school.Parent Review10y ago7 Reviews
