"Wishing to downsize, I moved to Lakes at Northpointe in 2010. Although the homes being built now are larger, many older homes in the neighborhood (built in 2006 & 2007) are one story and smaller, appealing to empty nesters and first time buyers. I have found the neighbors to be friendly and respectful of your peace and quiet. Pride of ownership is evident. Homes are well maintained, with many owners hiring professional landscapers to keep lawns and bushes neat and trimmed. Shopping is convenient, within 3 miles. The Houston Premium Outlet Center and Willowbrook Mall are close by as well. A Metro Park & Ride facility with garage parking is a 15 minute drive away. Express buses bring downtown Houston commuters back and forth to work. Responsive HOA Property Management Company. Sub-division recreational facilities include a club house, pool with on-duty lifeguard (open during summer months only), tennis courts and a small playground for young children. Some owners take advantage of open areas around the lakes to exercise their dogs letting them run and also swim and retrieve from the lakes. Although Lakes at Northpointe is located in Cypress, children in the sub-division attend Tomball Schools. The parents I've talked to whose children attend schools in theTomball ISD District seem to be pleased with the schools. Overall, I'd say that Lakes at Northpointe is a small well-kept, attractive but modest sub-division. It's nestled in a wooded area with many homes backing up to the pine forest surrounding the sub-division. Several man made lakes with lighted fountains are interspersed within the sub-division. Overall, I think it is lovely and a very nice place to live."
