I am a parent and a volunteer new to Sarah Moore Greene this year. Please don't take too much stock in old reviews. I sent my child to this school by choice- we had other options, but after a couple visits, SMG was the clear fit. The deciding factor for me was the culture. Students walk up to you and tell you about their work. The atmosphere is positive, filled with pride and compassion. These are the values I want my child to develop in school. I look forward to the coming years.

My child attended Mead South for less than a year before we transferred to a different private preschool. While the lead teacher was sweet and approachable, the administrator and owner was unorganized and lacking in communication skills. Parent conference nights were sadly unstructured and provided very little in the way of information on our child's progress, and we waited in vain for any concrete information on what our child did during the day. I often arrived to pick up my child and found a toddler playing alone in the fenced-in garden attached to the main room. The after-school teachers seemed unconcerned about this when I expressed concern. Parent programs only catered to parents who did not work, thus disenfranchising working parents, and when I mentioned this to the owner, she seemed to see no problem with this. Tuition was raised and policies changed without notice, and when we asked to speak with the owner/administrator about our concerns, her newly appointed office manager refused us access to her. She never responded to emails either. We removed our child immediately when our concerns were not addressed. The physical setting was lovely, and we wanted an AMI-certified program, but Mead was not the program we at first believed it to be. I would not recommend such a poorly run school to any parent. We left feeling like neither we nor our child had been valued at this school. They appeared to be only concerned with increasing numbers and raising tuition.
