5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are wonderful, but unfortunately the administration isn't. With all the discipline problems in the upper grades, I had to remove both of my children. Most students at Jackson are very nice, but it was obvious that the associate principal was unwilling to take care of disrespect towards teachers and fellow students. Conversations with teachers whom were in my opinion, great women, basically ended in the fact their hands were tied and that the associate principal was rude and unapproachable.Parent Review11y ago2 Reviews - Jefferson Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you are in the clique, this might be a great school. I have had issues with the staff sugar coating everything and sending back positive reviews when assessing my daughter for mental health issues. Things she had just gotten in trouble for they said she had no issue with. She went from 80% A's to about 40% at this school on subjects that I taught her from an early age, she could do simple division by first grade. They encourage her to read when that's all she wants to do. No encouragement to expand her physical health. It seems all they want is her good test scores and nothing else matters.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Lincoln Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe bullying at this school is out of hand and no one does anything about it. When you question the school about how they’re handling it then they will retaliate and make false accusations against you. Don’t send your kids here.Other Review2mo ago9 Reviews - Kennedy Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 7 year old son is disabled and used to attend Rock Springs Elementary School. He hated it! He was not challanged and they wanted to keep him in special ed classes regardless of his improvement and test scores. The teacher was lazy and the receptionist at the front desk was burnt-out and very rude. Last year we moved and decided to enroll him at Kennedy Elementary. In one year at Kennedy, he started reading, writing, come to find out was amazing at math, and even scored a 104% on the state math test. I thought it was a miracle! It was not a miracle. It was just teachers doing their job. Kennedy is an amazing school with great faculty and my son loves to wake up in the morning to go to school.Parent Review11y ago4 Reviews - St Dominic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSaint Dominic is the best kept secret in Kingsport! They have small class sizes and get the special attention that children need. The students learn manners, respect, and faith. Teachers are able to cater to gifted and children that need more specific focus in reading or math. The staff is wonderful and caring. Saint Dominic school is outstanding in core academics as well as the arts. They focus on the child's growth as a person and not just a test score. The kids are ready for middle school academically as well as socially. They now have fantastic after school LEGO club which will feed into robotic lessons, Daisy scouts, running club, French club, before and after school care, and summer programs. The principle, Mr. Davis will give personal tours and is wonderful to work with. The PreK program is on a waiting list because of the wonderful teachers. The teachers have found special talents in my children that would have been overlooked elsewhere. Saint Dominic's is faith based, but welcoming to all families. We have wonderful families from diverse backgrounds. The school is a special place for families to socialize, pray together, and support one another.Parent Review9y ago23 Reviews - Tri-Cities Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo Not waste your $3k tuition to send a child here. Faculty and teachers are related and several lack qualifications and there are no additional resources available for your child. There are several questionable teachers still operating here and multiple students have left soon after starting here due to the bias and parent/child neglect.Parent Review1mo ago11 Reviews
