6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is great for preparing the children for the real world, but I don't think they spend enough time on their studies. Some may disagree but education is just as important in the real world, and the children need to spend equal time on their studies due to time issues in schools children should be given more homeworkOther Review12y ago4 Reviews - Fairmount Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible!! My daughter is special needs and can’t speak English at all so I can’t just enroll her and put her on a bus. I got ignored and transferred everytime I spoke to some one. The just said enroll her online. I had to uproot my entire life to send her to school in Virginia instead because the school wanted nothing to do with her! The one time someone spoke to me they swore they could make a plan and get her iep meeting done on time. Never heard anything back ever again. Thankfully Virginia cares and got her iep and everything done on time. The school ignoring me and my daughter put a level of stress I had never felt before. 0/100.Parent Review10mo ago4 Reviews - Haynesfield Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWas a student at this school. First off the token system is messed up. You get tokens for answering questions only if your right if your wrong they don’t give it to you which I see as unfairness for kids trying to engage in class. The homework being forced on children at this school isn’t really a good thing because we all need breaks from school work and work in general. Teachers will teach you but here’s a funny thing a math teacher won’t say names wouldn’t let you figure out math problems the way you want to you HAD to do it in the teachers way or you would be sent out of the classroom and have to complete the assignment the correct way even if the answer on your homework was correct. Which I don’t think that’s called teaching that’s called being one sided and in life there’s more ways to fix a problem then just one way. They put you isolated which they call them has break rooms but it felt more intimidation more than a place to cool off. The principal that was at the school wasn’t the best either. She placed the most stupidest and the most craziest rule and that rule was students couldn’t have there water bottles in the classroom and would only be able to drink water in between classes. Teachers wouldn’t let you go to your lockers to get a drink which is crazy. Other than that don’t send your kid here unless you want your child to become an angry person all the time. There’s better schools out there for children with disabilities move on from this school because they didn’t help me learn anything.Other Review3w ago6 Reviews - Mountain Empire Baptist School
