Relocated here from out of State a few years ago. We have been very pleased with the Anderson Elementary School experience. It is true (per the prior posting from another parent) it is an older building, though the personnel more than make up for that. The principal, Mr. Brown, is truly excellent. H

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible!! My daughter is special needs and can’t speak English at all so I can’t just enroll her and put her on a bus. I got ignored and transferred everytime I spoke to some one. The just said enroll her online. I had to uproot my entire life to send her to school in Virginia instead because the school wanted nothing to do with her! The one time someone spoke to me they swore they could make a plan and get her iep meeting done on time. Never heard anything back ever again. Thankfully Virginia cares and got her iep and everything done on time. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has gone to Haynesfield for Kindergarten and started in first grade. We are moving out of state and hate to leave this school!!! It has been wonderful!!! 70% of the students are tuition students from out of the city zone. That alone says how much parents WANT their kids to go to this school. It is a conscious choice not one of geography. The teacher's, special are teachers and admin staff all genuinely care for each student.
