8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Cannons Elementary School majority of my “elementary school” days, beginning in K5 (1999-2000 school year), up until the end of my 4th grade year (03-04 school year), when my family relocated to a neighboring town, within in Sptbg District 2. I loved my years spent at Cannons, not only because of how “well kept” the school was (from the carpeted halls, eye catching decor, physical configuration of the classrooms & all around cleanliness throughout), but also the imperative diversity that was provided. I also played on the girls softball team (at that time, not many elementary schools in this area, offered extracurricular activities). Now my oldest daughter (7yo), is entering into her 2nd school year at Cannons (2nd grade) & loves it just as much as I did! The school is just as beautiful, clean (carpeted halls & auditorium, massive-& carpeted-library, to the welcoming/cozy classrooms), & up to date with the present eras expectations (newest/nicest technology, desks & classroom essentials) as it was over 18yrs ago. The teachers are mostly young (unlike what we witnessed in past generations), which is something I personally love due to my daughter finding them more relatable, possibly due to me being a younger mom myself. They ALL are SO kind, sweet, patient, understanding with both parents/students, communicate effectively & all around just NOT BURNED OUT (as with most careers, teaching included, extensive years/time on the job, can cause one to get “tired”, “burned out”, etc) allowing themselves to willingly pour more into their students with they see/feel it’s needed for their success. The ONLY “con”, on my opinion, would be the regression of diversity over the past 18years. The most recent data available, doesn’t seem to represent what I have witnessed during past attendance of activities & graduations that parents were invited to. Other local districts seem to have more balanced diversity, while both years I’ve witnessed a 1:3 ratio of Caucasian students to other ethnicities in each classroom.Parent Review3y ago2 Reviews - Jesse Boyd Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of three children at the school, I can only say wonderful things about the teachers, staff, and leadership. The communication is great and JBE offers a family atmosphere to learning. The class sizes are smaller than other schools in the district and my children are THRIVING here.Parent Review4y ago6 Reviews - Mccarthy/Teszler Learning Center

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a tremendous blessing to my family! Mrs. Revels (the principal) clearly strives to make every day a success for each child and goes the extra mile to make it happen. My son loves his teachers, therapists and the staff at McCarthy Teszler. He has improved immensely physically, academically and emotionally while attending McCarthy Teszler. Thanks McCarthy Teszler!!Parent Review12y ago1 Reviews - Westminster Day School
