9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers and school are Amazing!! They have such a positive attitude with the students there. My child needed a little extra work while gone for a while and the teacher worked with my child & sent some extra work home...fast forward to now!! My child is now ahead!! This is very impressive!!!The whole school has a "You can do it " and "never give up" attitude. The school definitely has top quality teachers and should be rated #1 in the state of SC.Other Review9y ago5 Reviews - James B. Edwards Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a former student at this school, I only went there for fifth grade because I had just moved to Mount Pleasant. I came from another school that really valued education and you own personal needs. When I got to JBE the math work in particular was stuff I had already learned and understood from fourth grade. I was never challenged in the classes that I took and sometimes I was even asked to teach it to other students there. On my MAP testing that year I scored lower than what I got on fourth grade. I also have a younger sister who goes to the school and she isn’t understanding things that she should already know at her age. I know people are different and some people excel in different things but even my parents believe that there isn’t enough not only learning but understanding of knowledge at this school. JBE isn’t all a bad school because they teach people leadership skills and have lots of school spirt but their teaching skills, methods, and curriculum just aren’t good enough for kids that age. I would not recommend if you want your child or children to flourish academically.Other Review1y ago19 Reviews - Belle Hall Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a US Department of Education "National Blue Ribbon School". My children attended from k-5. I am confident that Belle Hall is among the very best schools in the country with outstanding, highly professional teachers who are on top of their game and are led by a very caring, student-focused principal. I give this traditional neighborhood school my very highest possible recommendation.Parent Review3y ago12 Reviews - Palmetto Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is frankly astonishing to me how this school is still running. From the multiple rodents and pests that run through the halls and inside of the walls to the insects in the sinks and water fountains to the constant bullying and harassment from this so called "christian school" is infuriating to me. My child has come home from school crying multiple times due to the copious amounts of homework and other assignments. And to add to that the bullying from other students has been unbearable to see happening to my daughter. Christianity, the religion of love and acceptance to all people, has failed my child and my family. I am extremely disappointed. From the homophobic slurs said to my daughter to the harassment due to being part of the LGBTQ community, this was one of the saddest experiences for me and my child. I did not find out about this until after the school year had ended. My daughter was so ashamed of herself that she couldn't even bring herself to tell me or her mother about the amount of bullying that she received at this school. Teachers shunned her, students refused to interact with her, she recieved three death threats, and only made one or two friends throughout the whole school year. When this was finally told to me I was so disappointed. Not in my daughter, but in the failing school system my daughter was placed in. She is now in a free public school where she is much happier and much more accepted than in a 14,000 dollar school where she is being treated like an outcast and a freak by almost everyone. My disappointment is immeasurable and my daughter is traumatized. So thank you, PCA, for the amazing experience that my daughter received at this supposedly great school with a loving and accepting community.Other Review8mo ago8 Reviews
