I absolutely love the hard work and dedication the teachers put forth with all the children! My five year old comes home with something new everyday that she has learned. Teachers and almost all the staff are extremely friendly but, I strongly feel as though the principal doesn't really engaged with African American parents as I enter the school everyday. She never speaks to me which baffles me; seeing that she is African American as well. If your going to smile and be friendly to selected parents, maybe you should re-evaluate your personal standards. Aside from that, I had nothing but the upmost respect for the entire staff. My child truly enjoys that school!

Don't enroll your child here if they have behavioral and/or mental issues because this place is quick to punish your child and call DSS on you without getting to know and understand your child.

My kids went through this school. They loved all of their teachers! I was so impressed that a lot of the teachers were alumni or lived in the area and chose Wood as their second home. My children still want to go back to visit their beloved teachers, that instilled a love of learning. Wood will always hold a warm place in our hearts. This school is a hidden gem!

I attended here from Grade 2 to 7. This is not a school, it's a Republican Boot Camp. They don't care about teaching kids, they care about making voters for the Republican Party. The education I was given here was lackluster at best, filled with disinformation and Right-Wing propaganda. The teachers are not concerned with actually teaching your children, but indoctrinating them into a political party. Bullying was rampant; the faculty explicitly favors kids from families that donate to the church which runs the school.DO NOT make the same mistake my mother did and assume a Private School automatically means a better education. This place is for rich Republicans and nobody else; and they will make your child's life miserable if you aren't.
