Sadly the theme at this school is attendance, not learning, not the growth of children, just how the community views the principal Mrs Hamnley. She is very dismissive and talks down to everyone. I do not feel she should be in charge of an elementary school. Hands down the worst school I have ever dealt with.

This school has gone through a recent administration change that forced out a tremendous kind, caring, educator. It is now ran by two Co-Principals. They bring nothing new to education. Just a cold and mundane personality. The superintendent of schools Joseph Goho is a joke of man for allowing this and forcing out a great principal.

The worst experience, my grandson suffered a lot in this school

We sent our children to one of the pricier private school options on the East Side, but we are so glad that we moved them to HBS! At a third the cost, the education is just as good, the classes are diverse, the students are kind-hearted and engaged, the teachers are smart and attentive, and the parent community is warm and welcoming. HBS has been educating Rhode Islanders for something like 125 years, and doing a phenomenal job at it.

To be quite frank I hate writing reviews but this school is so bad I felt it was almost a civic duty to write this. The school fails on multiple levels from quality of education to structure and design its basically a slave factory... they also don't even professionalism to pull parents aside and talk about issues they will lay into you in the courtyard... the real nail in the coffin for me was the fact that I was paying for my kid to receive bad education like I'm paying for my child to be behind why would I do that very depressing that this was the outcome.
