"Lived here for a while it’s probably the last nice neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia. Still reasonably priced houses. Elementary and middle schools are still good but you will have to figure out something for high school because Washington is not a good school.. "

"The park is nice. Most of the people in the area are friendly. Not a good area for kids to be on bikes as many do not adhere to the street signs."

"Great turnout for trick or treating. Lots of friendly neighbors, family friendly, great public transportation options, grocery stores, good schools, close to shopping. The neighborhood has nice sidewalks and the park is close by. Great areas to bike ride, sled in the winter. Lots of backyards in the neighborhood. Feels very safe "

"buses are everywhere, very easy to get anywhere. bad traffic, close to 95, RT. 1 and the turnpike. 1.5 hours to beach or Mtns. NY and Baltimore 2 hours on a train. 25 minutes to the airport. Good Doctors however, are hard to find. I love the convenience of Philly, but hate the noise! constant car crashes at my corner, fire, police, ambulance and bus noise are a constant issue. "

"I've lived here since 1994. I wasn't planning on staying in Philadelphia but I've been here 25 years now. Great neighborhood, Everything you need is always within 5 minutes away. However, if you don't get along with Russians, its not for you. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall we had only positive experience. School is small, multicultural, and offers a lovely home-like atmosphere including breakfast, snack and homemade lunch. After-school program is included so parents can work. Students’ knowledge is higher than their peers from public schools. Teachers, principal and administration are caring and supportive. Close relationship between teachers and parents; school makes you feel welcome and accepted. You wouldn’t appreciate it until you deal with administration and principal in other private and/or public schools.Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews - Maternity Bvm School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 3 kids In the school. For the most part the school ive always thought the a school was okay not super excellent just okay. My older son was struggling in math and he would go in a small group for help but even that didn’t really do much, because he would still struggle. His grade was up and down up and down. They didn’t really do much to make it stay up. Not all of it on the school because he was some what of a rusher so I won’t put all the blame on the teachers. My son has also experienced some racism which really gave me a bad taste mind u he has been at school since 1st grade so for this to happen in grade 6 just upset me so much. The principle at the time handled the situation but maybe not to the best of her ability in my opinion. There is now a new principle so I’m hopeful that things might be better!Parent Review1y ago18 Reviews - Lehigh Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school from kindergarten to 3rd grade which there I switched to Pine Road Elementary. This school may have a lower number of students, but this does not make it a better school in anyway. My sister also went to this school and she struggled socially, both of us not being accepted because of our ethnicity. This school is bs and not worth any penny. It offers no real education and will not prepared you enough for college, making it virtually impossible to go to an ivy league. The students were all trouble and even as a kid I could tell because if how rowdy they were in the lower school. This school is more of daycare than an actual learning facility and it puts my mind at ease that it is finally shut down. I did not give this review because of a hated teacher, student, or revenge. I gave this review for the sole purpose of letting people know how bad of a school it actually was, and lower the number of stars because in no universe is this school four stars. The faculty new me since I was a baby and they were close with my family, but even that does not change my opinion.Other Review11y ago5 Reviews
