We are so lucky to call ourselves part of the Vernfield family. My child struggles with mental health + behavioral challenges and the school has not only been unbelievably accommodating, they've gone out of their way to see to it he has the proper support he needs. He is now thriving.The teachers + staff genuinely care about the students and it shows. The principal goes above and beyond for the kids and works hard to make sure everyone feels safe and like they belong.The home & school works hard to put on many fun events and activities for students and families, which effectively creates a true sense of community. We are thankful we decided to move from another neighboring district and up to SASD.

Salford Hills has a wonderful culture. There is a definite feeling of family and community here. I feel that the staff truly cares about my child, and they keep communication open to parents. I truly feel like we have a connection to what our child is learning in school. Academic standards are high, as are behavioral standards. The principal goes above and beyond for the students and staff, and has a great rapport with parents and families as well.
