Manarah Islamic Academy has been a driving force in providing my children a strong base in adab and in nurturing their Islamic identity. I am so blessed that my family had the opportunity to live here and take advantage of this school that provided strong building blocks for my children to continue to navigate themselves in society while not compromising their Muslim identity. Great work!

As a parent of a student at the Jewish Day School of the Lehigh Valley, I have had a negative experience with this school. Not only did I have to remove my daughter from the school due to issues with bullying and a lack of accountability and transparency, but the board also responded to my requests for oversight by refusing to re-enroll my younger sons (who would have to enter public school wearing a kippah and tzitzit and deal with the consequences thereof). The school claims to offer a strong dual curriculum, but the general studies program is significantly weaker than other schools in the area, and their Judaic studies is watered down and focuses more on Israeli culture than Torah. The building is safe and well-maintained, but the administration, led by the head of school, Mrs. Golding, has been known to act unilaterally and without consequences. There is also a lack of inclusivity at the school. My daughter was bullied for several months, and when the issue was raised with the administration, they failed to take appropriate action. Additionally, when my children were enrolled in the public school district after leaving the Jewish Day School, we were disappointed to find that they were behind in math and other subjects. Furthermore, the Jewish Day School withheld records that were requested by our public school district. Overall, I am disappointed with the quality of education and lack of accountability at the Jewish Day School, and I do not recommend it to other parents.
