"We all have and love dogs! The lack of sidewalks is a slight bummer, and the hills are challenging in a good way."
  • Arjay
"Lots of third world streets and hills to walk the dogs on, and with good views. There are some grumpy folks who can't abide dogs."

"in my area we have a neighbor that sends out a monthly newsletter via email to keep us all connected. There is a dog park in walking distance. People are friendly. "

"There is good public transportation to downtown but is harder to use it to get across the river. My guess is most people use cars to commute to work (though I have a few coworkers who bike to work)."

"You see lots of people out walking their dogs (on leashes). It is a very pet friendly space. There are lots of parks and an off leash area nearby."
  • Steve
"Lots of great trails and terrific places to walk dogs plus a couple of friendly off-leash fog parks within walking distance. Also several large parks and ravines with trails. "

"This neighborhood is quite, but I can bank, grocery shop, grab a sandwich and coffee, then get my hair done...all within walking distance to my home. It's also an easy drive to downtown Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, and Lake Oswego. "

"we live here everything is at least 2miles away no store closer than 2.4 mi"
  • Kenc
"Beautiful area with excellent schools and nearby supermarkets and restaurants."
  • Deb W.
"Hillsdale is a great place to live and raise kids. Now that the neighborhood has been designated a town center and a "Main Street" location even more resources and upgrades will be coming Hillsdale's way. "
  • Deb W.
"I've lived in Hillsdale for 15 years and it's going to be a hard neighborhood to leave. The people are great, the schools are fine, the local businesses and community organizations are wonderful. There are religious and community organizations within walking distance, parks, a farmers market, a library, and some great places to eat. To live here is to love it."
