NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely the worst school my kids have ever attended. 4 staff members. One is the principal & one is a office clerk, the other two are teachers. One teacher was doing the best she could do with what she was given. The principal doesn't do anything to help the kids or the staff. When he "teaches" class he usually leaves for something & doesn't return until the end of class. He doesn't teach the kids anything helpful & he talks down to them like they're toddlers (I have two teens)Another teacher was a huge problem & they kept her because without her they wouldn't have enough staff to stay open.I really don't believe this woman should be a teacher of any kind. This grown woman would sit in a classroom with teens and complain about other classmates, the staff & her personal trauma. She talked about my kid and showed my child's work to other kids while talking about her. She gave my kids lower grades out of spite and refused to work with us when it came to the work. she wasn't even allowed to contact the parents because of her attitude. The school has a bathroom issue during covid and they brought in porta potties thinking that would be acceptable. I kept my kids home until they fixed it and had them work from home, I guess that made them mad because after that they would always make passive aggressive comments about the time my kids missed. My kids missed school for a week due to covid and missed school when their bus didn't show up when it was supposed to. But they would write little notes on report cards saying something about school missed. This place needs to be shut down. This is not a good school! I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone who cares about their childrens education. I regret ever having them attend here. Also, they allow the kids to leave and come from the classrooms whenever they choose & don't do anything about the abusive kids.Parent Review3y ago2 Reviews - West Valley Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI could not say enough about this school and how it is run. My child has dyslexia and has grown leaps and bounds in reading, writing, math skills. In the public school system we were told he would never read or write. Well they were wrong and he is proof!! If you are feeling over whelmed by your child not making any headway please do not wait there is help at West Valley academy. I am so amazed at all the students progress, whether they have dyslexia or some other form of learning disability. It takes a little time to turn it around but it happens at West Valley.
