Kendall - Tennants

Kendall Whittier is a great community school. The teachers are great and so is administration. The dual language program is one of the best in the state and all students are offered music, art, computers, library and PE. There is also a dedicated school nurse and several counselors so the school has the resources it needs to provide a great educational experience for all kids.

My godson attends the school and it has been nothing less than amazing!!! The teachers are engaging and loving, and they challenge the kids and meet them where they are. There have been some behavior problems noted, and it seems to be kids who are not quite ready for a challenging independent school and may need more support than this private school gives which is OK kids need to be where they are met and some kids just not ready for this, but if you have a high excelling, curious and academic child-you’ll be happy here. For child is needing some extra help with reading attention and socialization. They may need to be at a school where there is a special education program to help support them. The school is definitely for kids who are highly intelligent and want to learn and interact with other learners. It’s a sweet place and a great opportunity for kids who are proud of learning. They have so many clubs before abd after school from Drama to Bookclub to academic bowl to chess club to robotics to art club! The kids who are interested in sports typically will find a club team outside of school. The school does not offer specific sports teams. They do offer some after school soccer lessons and dance class for the younger kids. Class sizes have been smaller, but seem to be growing and that would be my only complaint. They do multiple family included activities during the year and even have a buddies program where the older kids meet with the younger kids once a month to provide a mentor and fostering situation. The older kids love, helping the younger kids and the younger kids look up to the big kids coming into their classroom. If you have a child who loves to learn and seems to be ahead of their peers, take a tour of the school and see the magic for yourself!!!!

My daughter attends Undercroft & I cannot say enough good things about this school! From the beautiful classrooms that set up to engage the child in learning to the wonderful teaching staff and SO MUCH MORE!

Mi hija le encanta mucho la escuela. Las maestras son muy amables. Mi hija aprendido mucho y está muy contenta estar ahí. Ser primera hija entrando a la escuela me daba nervios donde suscribirla y lo bueno que elegy Instituto Bilingüe Guadalupano. Quisiera que expandiera la escuelita para tener más grados de primaria en la escuelita. 100% RECOMENDÓ
