4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal is nice, but ignorant of laws related to students with disabilities. It was a struggle to get supports in place, because the teacher dragged their feet submitting the paperwork for an IEP for my child with behavioral and learning disabilities, despite the request being made in writing on the first day of school, and they were chronically suspended or taken out of class for trivial offenses the entire year. Admittedly, my child had substantial conduct problems, but the teacher would not follow the 504 plan that took 6 months to get in place, and the principal backed the teacher every time. I felt bullied and shamed the entire school for my child's behavior, even though the kid was generally well behaved and did their work when the plan was being followed. This was our first any only year at this school, my child has had these problems since pre-K, and we have never had this much difficulty getting supports in place and having their behavior plan followed.Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Epperly Heights Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child went to this school for years K-3. While Kindergarten was a great year, the subsequent three years were awful. My child had a new teacher for 1-3 (brand new to the school or fresh out of college). None of these teachers could maintain control of the classroom and was complete chaos from the very beginning (one teacher cried daily for the first month). Despite parent’s calls to leadership to support the teachers, it fell on deaf ears. From 2022-2025, they’ve had 3 principals and a handful of vice principals. They don’t have a PTA, they don’t sell yearbooks, there’s not much of an incentive to participate in the one crappy fundraiser they do once per year. The gifted and talented program is a joke and there were several times they didn’t even show up. I had to supplement A LOT at home. To the point that we didn’t have time for any extracurriculars. One time my child was placed between two children that were arguing with each other in STEM class to try and discourage them from fighting. One kid decided to punch the other little boy and my child (a girl) was caught in the crossfire and clocked in the jaw. The boy was never made to apologize, was not suspended, no discipline whatsoever. I won’t even get into the incident where my child’s arm was broken on the playground at recess. Parents need to stay on top of the teachers, leadership and school board if you want anything positive out of this school. In our experience, it was a nightmare.Parent Review8mo ago19 Reviews - Townsend Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNever been to a school that releases car riders and bus riders before walkers. Also I have never been told I had to wait off campus to pick up my child. They expect the parents to do the teaching not the teachers.Parent Review8mo ago16 Reviews - Destiny Christian School

Como consecuencia, tuvo que asistir a numerosas sesiones psicológicas para poder superar esta situación.Parent Review4mo ago17 Reviews - Christian Heritage Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had 2 grandkids that have graduated from CHA. They played sports, they were leaders in their class. They graduated top of their classes and had dual credits so they entered college with enough credits to be sophomores. As in all schools, students get out of what they put into it. Parents seem to be heavily involved. I have watched high school football players show kindness and being helpful to the younger students. What school can you go to with open lockers, cell phones exposed and they are never stolen? They also don't allow cell phones in class. I have watched teachers from elective classes to required classes and coaches pour themselves into these kids. They do have a Christian value but isn't that why you enrolled your child into a Christiam based school? That doesn't mean no one messese up, we all do, teachers, admin, students etc. But that they talk it out and work it out and are accountable for their actions. I would say the dress code can be strict but when you know it's to teach modesty and respect for one's body,I think it's good. Who doesn't want a school not to teach self respect, respect of others and not goofing off and disrupting class, after all that's a lot of money to pay and your child not be able to learn because the teacher has to spend their time wirh disruptive kids. Nope parents want their children to be able to take full advantage of an education that some parents have to sacrifice in order to send their kids to private schools. Not all kids that go to CHA are rich brats as one person said. My grandkids parents are a firefighter and teacher, but no means are they rich. But they make sacrifices so their kids can get an Christian education. The school offers grants etc. They are not brainwashing kids, they teach the kids to think, to lead and to find a solution. We love the school.Other Review2y ago10 Reviews
