7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children at the school have been treated poorly. I would justify it, thinking the whole COVID-19 was why the school was disorganized. However, the office ladies are rude, and I’m a parent who I know never gave them any trouble; nonetheless, they don't want family engagement.First, when no family engagement is allowed, that throws me off. What are you hiding? Perhaps the way you treat the kids.My complaint is not towards the teachers. My children had mostly great teachers. It’s for the office staff. They seem bitter and impatient.I give a three-star review because I have worked at a different elementary school, because it’s a low-income area, things are not as expected, but a lot has to do with the top.Public schools in Oklahoma are the worst.Parent Review2y ago26 Reviews - Lawton Academy of Arts and Sciences

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs both a parent of a recent graduate and a former first-grade teacher at Lawton Academy, I’ve had the unique opportunity to experience this school from multiple perspectives over the past five years. Without hesitation, I can say that Lawton Academy stands out as the premier educational institution in the region. The school’s small size fosters a close-knit community where exceptional educators are deeply committed to each student’s academic and personal growth. The curriculum is rigorous—designed to challenge students at a gifted and talented level—and while it can be demanding for those who do not prioritize academics, the school offers robust support systems to help every student succeed. Our son transferred to LAAS in middle school after facing significant challenges in the local public school system. The transformation was immediate and profound. He went from being disengaged and reluctant to participate to a student who enthusiastically embraced every opportunity. The school’s leadership and mentoring programs helped him discover his strengths and gain the confidence to compete at both the state and national level in speech and vocal performance. He ultimately graduated second in his class and will be attending George Washington University this fall—an achievement we attribute in large part to the extraordinary faculty and staff at LAAS.My own experience as an educator at Lawton Academy was equally rewarding. Teaching here was the most fulfilling chapter of my career. I appreciated the small class sizes, which allowed for meaningful one-on-one interaction with students, and the creative freedom I had in designing lessons. It is a nurturing, innovative, and inspiring place to work.In every way, Lawton Academy exemplifies excellence in education—for students and teachers alike.Teacher Review11mo ago18 Reviews - Lawton Academy Of Arts & Sciences
