Reporting problems to the principal or counselor doesn’t work — they barely meet with you, forget, or do nothing. They complain the same students keep coming to their office every year, but suspending them doesn’t help — kick them out. Do not send your child to this school.

Great teachers, many who have been here for years as well as some great new teachers implementing new ideas. Teachers work hard to help the children meet or exceed testing standards. Field trips and hands on activities are always happening. The new building is undersized but the principal and staff here offers a lot of events for the students, their families and the community in order to help those who are willing to find a way to connect. Teachers always set aside time for a conference and are more than willing to work alongside parents. The teachers always suggest educational opportunities that can help build the levels of learning. The staff has shown their support for students at activities whether offered through the district or otherwise. Extra curricular activities at this school include: Lego league, Girl Scouts, Orchestra, Walking Club, Whittier Jets Cheerleading, Kindness club, Chinese Class/club, Art, Music, Chess club, Young Men and Women of Excellence, Early High School Opportunities, and many more!
