"I live in a newer subdivision in Hough so I don’t know if these experiences are common in other parts of the neighborhood. My only noise issue is the constant sirens of ambulances and the noise of medical helicopters being so close to a large hospital. "

"There’s no dog park for a dog to play only your yard or apt. There’s not enough people in the neighborhood. Everyone has moved out. The neighborhood is desolate. "

"To hear gun shots almost every night in a neighborhood that’s suppose to be an upcoming neighborhood is unheard of. You can build all the nice homes and facilities you would like but it still won’t change the fact that you’re closely surrounded by high crime areas where acts of assaults, murders, break ins to name a few occur ... this neighborhood has really changed within the last 5-7 years. So sad but investing in a home in this area right now this would not be the time. "

"My neighborhood is unique because we watch out for each other, we care for each other, we are helpful and you can see us visiting each other in the summer, sitting on each other porches or taking each other food."

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageactually> i grew up in the neighborhood when I was young. I assumed the children would be out of control for a substitute. Well, i was wrong. From 5th grade to K, they were awesome! I traveled to each room, their own environment, they seem relaxed. Some teachers use positive performance cards which students are rewarded by end of week instead of punishments. The kids were polite to me (to a sub!?!). Smiling faces (of course, they were the ones getting rewards with good grades). Also a new school, seem to have an affect on behaviors. I never substituted higher than 5th grade, but from what I saw, they seem tough. I substitute again this week, so we shall see how that goes.
