The school is highly overrated. It prides itself on exclusion and look down on parents, students, teachers from outside their snobby cliques. The manner in which some parents are so unkind is off putting- that is until they request sizeable donations or career connections. Some parents harass, troll and outright insult your family at the same time they demand favors for their own. Not a nice community.

Windward is a highly elitist and awful school. It used to be a wonderful school run by people who cared about students with dyslexia. Now it’s just a money grabbing machine trying to get as many donations and dollars from donors as possible and taking students that don’t belong there to get that money. The amount of marketing and PR that they do to positioning themselves as the best of the best when they’re not actually providing a product that backs it up is ridiculous. I would not recommend it at all. I would’ve recommended it 10 years ago
