"Great loop to walk dogs, woods and wood path make a nice walk and place for dogs to go the bathroom "
  • Paul W.
"Northern Troy has a high Crime rate of 35 per 1000. It is rundown with boarded up homes & buildings, and a lot of closed businesses. We rented there, and my significant other did not feel safe walking around there. So I would not say it is walkable or bikeable. And I wouldn't want to bring up a family in Troy. Before you rent or buy, walk through the neighborhood. "

"The public elementary schools are very good with caring teachers. The area is within walking distance to Peebles Island State Park. With the ice rink, walking/running track, tennis courts, Powers Park with summer concerts, library and Lansingbugh Historical Society, it is a convenient and accessible friendly village. It’s on the upswing. After 18 years here, I’ve seen progress and enjoy being part of the solution."

"parades, school events, going to get ice cream at Snowman. there are many others like chowder tasting, turkey trot at Thanksgiving."

"It’s a nice area and a pretty easy commute to everything. The schools are nice and the parks are pretty big and also pet friendly. "
  • Keelyjluce
"Most houses half decently large yards which are good for dogs, and there are many local parks to walk them in such as knickerbacker park, Frear park, Oakwood century. "

"People need to pick up their poop after their dog. I always have to pick up poop in my front yard and I think that’s unacceptable "
  • Badgirlsgocrazy

    "It’s typically a quiet place...I haven’t noticed many dog walkers however it’s a dog friendly area "
  • Kathryn N.
"I have to carry mace when I walk my dog because she has been attacked by dogs off of leashes. One dog actually jumped a fence after us. Also I think every other house in Lansing rug have dogs and never pick up after them. "
  • Cerone S.
