Preschool program at Slocum is outstanding. I believe it is run by NYS SCOPE but I must say the teachers and assistants there are giving my grandchild the best preschool experience I could ever expect. As a retired teacher I know quality when I see it. My grandson loves going to school and is so excited about learning. This is due to the nurturing care and educational experiences Mrs M & Mrs P put into their classes. They have set the foundation for a positive learning experience that will continue throughout their future school years. Teacher quality does make a difference. I hope my grandson will continue to have such a wonderful experience as he continues his education at Slocum.

I used to be a student at this school before it closed. I LOVED this school. All the bad reviews are from bad experiences, I had a great experience and I wish I could make it to 8th grade. I was in 7th grade when the school closed and I was deeply upset with the news about the closing school. Though not all teachers were the best, some were awesome. Mr. Clareen was awesome. I miss this school sooo much and I wish I could do something to reopen it.
