"New York City is intellectual, diverse, inclusive, and the standard for art, fashion, business and Medicine. There cuisines from all over the world as well as kosher, halal and vegetarian options. It is home to multiple world respected hospitals and universities. It’s a major tourist destination and hosts millions of visitors per year."

"Dogs and babies always welcome. The heights has a very community feel and many people live here their whole lives. The public schools are top notch and the best private schools in Brooklyn are here as well. "

"Soccer at the pier. Atlantic antic. Willowtown fair. Riverside tenants association. Movie on the lawn in DUMBO. Otherwise there aren’t too many community events. "

"Store owners know you by name, safe for kids to walk around by themselves when they are old enough, close to everything, the Broklyn bridge park is the most beautiful park in the city. "

"I have not seen many easily accessible dog parks, for the most part they are on the edges of the neighborhood. Otherwise nice wide sidewalks and easy access to running paths. "

"It’s quiet and cozy... people will say good morning to you... strangers smile at one another while passing on the street. It doesn’t feel like you’re in the city, and I mean that in the best way possible."

"I lived in the neighborhood for over twenty years and it is incredible. Beautiful homes, quite streets, strong community of friends, and the Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Promenade are just incredible. "

"The subway is a nightmare but that has more to do with the lack of law enforcement and the decline of quality of life laws. "

"The neighborhood is very safe and relatively quiet. There are often kids out with their parents. There aren’t a ton of parks, but enough close by. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI adore this school. It has fostered my love for learning in every way imaginable, and I do honestly believe that it is on par academically with other NY private schools. Of course some of the teachers and students aren't the best, but not to a more significant degree than any other school. They have an amazing language and English program, science program is definitely improving, and I love my math teacher. Would not recommend it if your child loves history or athletics, but other than that I would recommend it to literally anyone. As a current middle schooler, I feel that its no-grade policy has made me love learning and seek out the classes I love and allowed me to grow in those as opposed to what I think I'll get an A in. I have heard of alcohol/drug use in the high school, but not. at all in the middle school. The staff (especially security) are all lovely and create a very safe and comfortable learning environment, and I look forward to going there every day. It's been an amazing experience to go there since I was 3, and I'd highly recommend it to any parent or child who loves learning and wants to set themselves up for success.Student Review1y ago11 Reviews - Packer Collegiate Institute
