"It’s a good neighborhood schools could probably be improved. There are probably opportunities for more family, friendly restaurants, and the trash and dog poop can be a bit overwhelming at times."

"Lots of trees and parks and space. Some owners don't pick up after their dogs. Some owners walk their dogs off the leash. "

"People walk their dogs often, but owners don't often pick up after their dogs. Most people will leave you alone. There are a lot of trees in the neighborhood, as well as a few parks, but they require leashes. "

"The schools are not great, but the teachers are very caring. There are a few public housing spaces that may generate some unpleasant circumstances, but once you get used to it and get to know the people, it’s fine."

"I lived in this neighborhood for three years now. Before then I lived a five minute walk away, but a different zip code. I practically lived here all my life. This neighborhood is full of friendly people who genuinely care about their properties. They take great care of what’s theirs. "

"It’s a relatively easy. I’m at least a 1 to 10 minutes walk to a bus stop or a train station. And it doesn’t matter what time of the day, it’s generally safe to walk to and from home. "

"Community events are nonexistent. We have a street party every year but it’s doesn’t have a community feel. It’s mostly the people who have lived on my street for a long time who don’t like new comers or reach out to new people who move in"

"The neighborhood is in a great area in-between the J and the A/C so if you have to commute into Manhattan it's is pretty easy. With the exspansion of the citi bikes most corners you can easily grab a bike for short rides if you don't feel like riding the bus."

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDuring the duration in which my son attended, the principal was not open to provide extra tutoring support. I had to contact the Superintenden Office to demand support, and this was after Covid The principal rarely returned email, only when you mentioned you will contact the Superintendent Office to address your concerns . My son wasn't prepared for Algebta for High School. I we had to select a Middle School again, I would not select Arts and Letter.Parent Review1mo ago22 Reviews - Ps 21 Crispus Attucks

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are so happy our daughter is in this school. Unlike the busy public school our older son attended, we found this school calm, organized and not too overstimulating or loud. The teachers are caring, available for consult, and actively engaged with the students. Our family was hoping to find a space that helped our younger daughter adjust to public school after a smaller 3K experience and this school really delivered. This is a safe and calm space for our shy youngest, alongside a nice community of neighborhood families.Parent Review4mo ago9 Reviews
