"Just moved here from LA and love the neighborhood. It’s close to my work and has plenty of open spaces to walk my dogs. I love the bike path, access to the river and the Bosque. Also close are Old Town and most of the large museums. "

"I have lived here for nearly 10 years. I walk to and from the bars and restaurants downtown. Sometimes, things get stolen off my porch and I have random people knocking on my door."

"I get irritated because even though i live in a gated complex with signs saying to leash your dogs, nobody does...i was very angry to learn that some dogs that were not leashed tried to attack my small dog that WAS leashed. Leash your animals!"
  • Hugo L.
"I'm able to walk everywhere during the day and once the night is here I take my car. I wouldn't walk while it's dark and it's never really loud outside unless you start to get close to Central."
  • Jonathan J.
"I’ve lived in the downtown area for almost 7 years now and each year it gets better. Walkable to bars, breweries, restaurants, grocery store, movie theatre, bosque and zoo. More and more younger adults move to the area each year and it is starting to feel much more safe and friendly. I love the area and can’t wait to see it continue to grow in positive ways in the future. "
