I have two children and both have gone to Wilkesboro Elementary School. I can say first hand that if it was not for the caring, teachers and principal at this school that my son wouldn't have come as far as he has. When my son first came to Wilkesboro Elementary he could not speak two words, my son has autism. My son was mainstreamed into regular classrooms with his peers. He is now in the 4th grade, making leaps and bounds. I take my hat off to all the teachers and the principal. I can tell you that this school is a school of excellance. There is not another school in the state that has anything on WES!! god bless

I graduated from HTCA, if you are not a white male student you will be treated differently. Women are treated as if it’s the 1930’s and it’s shocking such a curriculum is counted as an education. Unless you supplement with outside work your child will be behind academically compared to students from other schools when they reach college. They will struggle with basic concepts in mathematics and English. They will have zero understanding of science and the history taught is a work of fiction at best. If you’re a super religious woman hating nut job this may be the environment for you.
