9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDavidson is a fabulous place to learn. My husband and I are both educators (we've taught all the way from elementary classrooms to graduate school courses) and are blown away by the teachers here. We pinch ourselves that we get to send our kids to a place where they are loved, challenged, and accepted. The classroom teachers are exceptional, the connect team (music, art, PE, dance, etc.) really goes the extra mile with special clubs/activities, and the new principal is really, really strong. She leads by example, knows every kid, and is loved by the staff. Lots of parents support, and no kids get left behind. It's a rare place where kids of every SES, race, background, and learning ability make incredible academic progress AND are known and loved. Very proud to be part of this community! Thank you teachers & staff for your tireless efforts and loving our kids like they are your own!Parent Review2y ago24 Reviews - Woodlawn School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m really disappointed with my experience at this private school. It’s a small, isolated environment with almost no diversity, which makes it feel disconnected from the real world. A portion of the teaching staff and head of the school is very inexperienced, which results in a lack of effective instruction, deferred maintenance, and unstable teaching environment. Some teachers struggle to manage small classrooms, and the overall learning experience suffers because of it.At the high school level, there’s only one small class, which makes it difficult for students to form a genuine connection with peers. The only extracurricular activity is the basketball team, which leaves most students with limited opportunities for involvement. There’s also a constant turnover of teachers and students, which adds to the instability and makes it hard to feel grounded in the school. It’s not easy to build any continuity or a sense of belonging when so many people come and go.Parent Review1y ago15 Reviews - Lake Norman Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with Lake Norman Christian? For one discrimination based on race which they get so defensive about when mentioned it has been shown that if you aren’t of the white race you will be discriminated against. I’m not saying it’s all of the faculty but unfortunately it is most. This school has policies that are absurd and for the tuition you’d expect more from this school. For a school that calls itself “Christian” it sure doesn’t seem like it. It has come to my attention as well that the teachers tend to be disrespectful towards students which is never tolerated whatsoever and to whomever may be reading this mark my words when I say do not send your children here.Other Review1y ago40 Reviews - Phoenix Montessori Academy
